Where we work

Our Head Office in Liberia is located in Montserrado County in the Liberian Capital Monrovia. We operate two related projects, a National Sample Transport Project (ST) and a National Fleet Management project (FM).
National Sample Transport (ST) Project and a National Fleet Management project (FM). Our 60 Sample Transport couriers under the ST project cover all 15 counties of Liberia operating a network of 394 pick-up sites.
The couriers are supported by five (5) motorcycle trained technicians strategically located throughout the country. Samples from a total of 800 plus health facilities from the 92 health districts are pooled (through the feed of District Surveillance officers or direct pick from health facilities) before they are picked from the preselected sites daily and delivered to the testing laboratories.
 The pick-up sites are identified and reviewed on an annual basis in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (CHTs), NPHIL, partners. All priority diseases specimens (IDSR) specimens for Liberia designated diseases of outbreak potential, including but not limited to meningococcal disease, Lassa fever, yellow fever, shigellosis, measles and many more.) including COVID-19 are transported and tested at the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) in Charlesville, Margibi County. The system also carries specimens for TB and HIV tests to 17 Gene-Xpert sites located across 15 counties.

All specimens follow cold chain protocols supported by 51 cold chain units (both solar & generator driven) strategically located throughout the country. Temperature is monitored in transit by temperature data loggers. All picked specimens are logged, and information is fed in real-time to the monitoring department in Monrovia. Each motorcycle location in transit is tracked in real-time through a vehicle tracking system.
Fleet Management system
Riders Liberia has the infrastructure (workshops, tools, and equipment) for fleet maintenance and repair which can support the entire Ministry of Health Fleet to include Ambulance services in all 15 counties, providing maintenance to include professional driver training. The workshop space includes a total of 6 (six) established vehicle maintenance hubs (VMUs), a main one located in Monrovia and the other five strategically located across the country to cater for all counties. They are located in the County seats of, Lofa, Grand Gedeh, Grand Kru, Bong and Grand Bassa County
